Frequently Asked Questions

1. How do you find the Agents you refer to Real Estate Buyers and Sellers?

We work with only the most experienced agents in your neighborhood and match them to your specific needs. They represent the absolute best in your area, both in sales volume and experience level.

The core group of Agents Across America Agents comes from personal contacts of the founders of this company, who have extensive background in all aspects of the real estate industry.

In addition, we have taken applications from Agents who want to be part of this network, which now numbers over 11,500. However, no agent is permitted to be part of Agents Across America until they pass rigorous screening. This is for your benefit, and ours, since our reputation is based on the results of our clients.

Agents Across America’s proprietary database of qualified agents is used only for the purpose of delivering top Agents to our clients.

2. How do Agents "sign up" to be in your system?

They can not "buy" their way in. They must qualify with a proven track record of excellence in selling Real Estate. Agents can submit a questionnaire with their credentials, and then they are evaluated by our staff.

However, 90% of the time we determine, and invite, who we work with. None of our Agents pays any fees to join Agents Across America. Everything is based on track record and other demonstrations of top professionalism.

3. Why do you refer three agents to me when I want to sell my property?

We have learned through long experience that three is an optimal number of agents to interview when you sell your property. This ensures you that you have options. You can select the best match for you.

4. Why should I choose to interview an agent from Agents Across America, instead of hiring a friend who is an agent or another agent that I know?

We’d definitely encourage you to talk to anyone you want; it seems that just about everyone knows a real estate agent. However, you can only sell your home once. Make a decision that is truly in your own best interest.

After all, why not pay the same commission to an absolute expert rather than someone you may know previously but may not bring you the best results? By interviewing and comparing you will see some clear advantages.

5. What are the fees involved in hiring a real estate agent referred by Agents Across America?

None. There are no fees. Our service is free to you. The agent pays a nominal fee to Agents Across America only after your property is closed.

6. What companies are the Agents affiliated with?

The Agents are associated with all the major National Real Estate Companies, Regional Companies, and smaller Independent Companies. It’s important to point out that Agents Across America is not linked with any specific real estate company; we only work with the top-producing individuals within many companies.

7. Why would a successful Agent need to utilize Agents Across America?

That’s a great question. The answer is, top Agents are very efficient in how they use their time, and Agents Across America is a time-saver for them, since we take the time to find qualified people like yourself who are interested in buying or selling property.

The reality of the business is that unless you are already "in the know", it’s very hard to tell who the top Agents are, so the chances are slim that you would find them, or they would find you. Agents Across America is a service to top Agents and real estate buyers and sellers such as yourself, because we provide a way for you and them to meet each other.

8. How long does it take to sell and close on a property? Do I need to sell my home first, before buying a new one?

The truth is, it completely depends on your local market and how fast or slow things are selling. As a general rule, it’s usually its best to sell first – but there’s so much variation from market to market that we can’t give you a blanket answer that would apply to all situations.

We have markets today in the U.S. where property sells almost immediately, often within the first week. Yet in other markets, even under the very best of circumstances, it takes many months to sell.

This is why we urge you to talk to a true expert in your market, one of the highly qualified Agents Across America Agents. They can give you the pluses and minuses of every realistic option, so you can make an informed decision, and one that is best for you.

9. I want to buy a property. Can Agents Across America help me?

Yes. We’ll refer one of our top Agents to you who specialize in representing buyers. Again, there’s no fee and no obligation on your part.

It probably comes as no surprise to you that some of the Agents are better at representing buyers. The reason is simple: they have extensive experience with the marketplace and current data on what’s available, and different options for financing. In addition, a top Agent will always do a better job negotiating for you, whether they are selling or buying.

10. I want to sell or buy Nonresidential Real Estate (such as: commercial property, office building, shopping center, retail strip stores, industrial, warehouse, land, ranch, farm, etc.). Can AgentsAcrossAmerica help me?

Absolutely. In addition to knowing the best Residential Real Estate Agents, we also have an extensive network of the best Agents specializing in Commercial and other types of Real Estate transactions. Just contact us and we’ll put you in touch with top Agents specializing in the type of property you’re interested in.

11. How many Agents qualify for Agents Across America?

Though the number seems large at first glance, in fact very few are eligible. Did you know there are over one million licensed Agents in the U.S.? Of those, only about 11,000 Agents across the country are good enough to utilize Agents Across America.

12. I inherited a property and have no idea of its value. What’s the best way to find this out?

We recommend that you talk to three top Agents in your local market. (We will send you three as part of our free service). Getting three educated opinions of the estimated market value allows you to decide how to proceed.

13. What taxes can I expect to pay on the profit from my sale?

The answer to this varies, based on a number of factors, such as:

  • How long you have owned the property
  • If it’s your principal residence
  • It’s an income (investment) property

… and so on.

If, for example, your property is your principal residence that you have occupied for 2 off the past 5 years, there are tremendous tax benefits to you. However, you must consult a tax expert to get the best answer for you. Real Estate Agents are not tax experts, so do not expect to rely on them for tax advice.

However, the Agents we work with are typically sources for top local tax consultants who can address your specific questions.
